About Us

Allison Kares and Tanya Rouble are co-owners of Pilates Niagara. Their mission is to make the physical and mental benefits of fitness accessible to everyone regardless of age or ability. They excel in training individuals in functional movement, postural correction, balance, stability and injury rehabilitation. They are teachers of the Pilates Method and, combined, have over 300 hours of training.

ABOUT ALLISON KARES
Allison has completed her full certification in STOTT Pilates™ and is one of only two fully certified STOTT Pilates™ Instructors in the Niagara Region.  She has trained in all levels of STOTT Pilates™ including Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, and Injury & Special Populations. She has over 17 years of experience in exercise therapy and rehabilitation. She has developed programs for clients with workplace and motor vehicle injuries and is sought after for injury prevention programming in the workplace.
 
ABOUT TANYA ROUBLE
Tanya has completed her STOTT Pilates™ Intensive MatPlus, Intensive Reformer and Injury & Special Populations training and she is certified in Level 1 Mat & Reformer. She is also trained through the Physical Mind Institute in Matwork. She is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise and is a Certified Senior’s Fitness Instructor through the Centre for Activity and Aging. She has over 17 years experience in group fitness and private training with a special focus on exercise programming for people over the age of 50.

Pilates Niagara Mission Statement

At Pilates Niagara, our mission is to make the physical and mental benefits of Pilates accessible to all people regardless of age or ability.

We will accomplish this by:

  1. providing safe and effective Pilates programs taught by certified and qualified instructors,

  2. seeking out information and evidence based research about proper Pilates technique,

  3. learning and promoting a thorough understanding of the history and evolution of Joseph and Clara Pilates and their method of movement,

  4. maintaining membership with a professional organization that promotes the benefits of Pilates,

  5. regularly attending workshops, courses and conferences for development and continuing education,

  6. providing an environment that is conducive to Pilates training,

  7. maintaining and monitoring equipment for safety,

  8. maintaining up to date certification in CPR and certification in First Aid

  9. maintaining up to date, provincially recognized insurance coverage
